Have you checked....

...your boobies, that is?

It's time for McMahan Five Designs Free Breast Cancer Awareness Image again.  This is a beautiful image drawn by Sue in remembrance of her mother's cousin, Donna, who just recently passed away from breast cancer.

It's such a beautiful image and I had so much fun making a card with it!

Be sure to check out the card that Michelle P also made!

Even though our emphasis is Breast Cancer Awareness,
the Ribbon stands for so many other Awareness.

A Long Time Ago

Guess What?  I made a card!!!  We're back after our holiday break with a new release for McMahon Five Designs,

Of course, I selected the vintage image.  Don't you just wonder what she's thing sitting next to the stream?  I paired the image with some beautiful Prima paper and some ribbon and jewels from my stash.

Now let's take a look at the rest of the images from the release, shall we?  Notice, there's a FREE one there!

FranKristineMichelle ASue,

Do you have any wonderful plans for the weekend?  Today, I will be having lunch with my cousin who I've only seen once since we were children!  I saw her a couple of years ago at her dad's 80th birthday party.  This weekend, she starts her vacation by flying into Boise, where I live, and then she's driving down to her dad's home near Rupert.  It's going to be great to spend a little time with her catching up!!!

Other than that, it's supposed to be really cold again so I just plan to stay in.  We have about 6 in of snow on the ground and with our anticipated temps, it won't be melting so I'll be catching up on some housework and playing in my studio!

Blessings,
Christine

Update Truth Cards

You can read on this post all about the Brave Girls Club and their collaboration with Full Circle Exchange.  Melody Ross is going to Manila, Philippines, to work with women who have been or are still victims of human trafficking.  She will be going there to teach them how to make stationary and cards that she has designed that will be for sell in major stores throughout the United States.  As part of her journey she will be also teaching Soul Restoration!

She will be meeting as many Brave Girls as she can in the Philippines and she will be handing out truth cards (read about them in the post linked above) to all that she meets.  She asked Brave Girls all over the world to make truth cards that she will bring their with her.  Those women sent hundreds of cards to her!  I did my small part and made 26 cards (8 of which are in the aforementioned post).

Here are my 26.

Since the Brave Girls Club will need truth cards adventures, I plann to make a truth card or two each time I sit at my desk.  They are so fun too make.  They are just tiny (ATC size) works of art!  I will then send them in when they make the next call out!

What are your plans for the weekend?  I'm going to work on some art projects I have going on and then start on Life Book 2013!  Can't wait to get started!!!

Blessings,
Christine
