I’ve been talking about it and it’s finally here! The One World One Heart event sponsored by the Whimsical Bohemian.
I stumbled onto One World One Heart when I first started blogging three years ago and I found a LOT of my current blogging buddies by going around and leaving comments on a LOT of blogs!!! Remember, this was when I first started blogging and I had a lot of time on my hands. I don’t remember how many participants there were that year, I’m pretty sure over 500. I even won a few things. This is a wonderful event and I’m hoping to find some time to hit some of the blogs this time as well.
Each participant sponsors a “door prize” of sorts. I have made a beautiful Butterfly Quote Book for my prize.
The book has five pages and I put my favorite quotes about butterflies on each of the pages (9 quotes). I decorate each page with lace, ribbon and trim, as well as some beautiful handmade flowers with hand cut and punched leaves.
I also used some punched butterflies with pearls and some vintage buttons.
I have literally been thinking about making this for years. I have collected my favorite quotes, bought the chipboard album (don’t worry, I have more than one) and even had it all pictured in my head. When I was thinking about what to make for OWOH, this immediately came to mind. Now that it’s finished, it will be so hard to part with. I’ll be making a very similar one for myself!!!
So, there’s just one rule, well two. Please, you must have a blog and you must leave a way for me to contact you. Leave your email address as myemail (at) hotmail (dot) com or you will receive a lot of junk email (trust me, I know).
That’s it! If you didn’t come here from the One World One Heart event post, go take a look. You will see some beautiful art! If you like what you see here, feel free to have a look around. I’d love to have you back!!!
Blessings,
Christine
is the winner of the box of goodies.
Thanks so much to everyone who commented and allowed me to celebrate my happiness with you!!!
Blessings,
Christine
Giveaway Closed—winner has been chosen.
How about it? I’ve told you it’s coming and now it’s here!!!
I gathered some supplies together for a fun altered project.
I started out with this…
…then this.
I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a long time so I’m giving it to one of my wonderful blog readers!!!
But that’s not all. I spent a few minutes this afternoon gathering some of my favorite altering goodies to share with you! These are some of the things that I would use if I were making one.
Paper. I cut up a few of my favorite 12X12 papers to 6x6 so they would fit in the box. As you can see, there’s some Kaiser Craft pearls in there as well as some blank tickets cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix strip die.
Ribbons and trims. I cut some pieces of my favorite trims (some are vintage) as well as a couple of rolls of Prima Ribbon. I’ve added some of my hand dyed seam binding as well and I will be adding more as I make some new colors for projects that I’m working on from now ‘til the deadline.
There are also some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and leaves to which I will be adding more as well—some Prima’s and other misc. Maybe even a few handmade flowers!
Trinkets. Some 7 Gypsies flash cards, Tim Holtz tickets and pins, and other things from my stash. I gathered these in just a few minutes and will definitely be adding to this group!!!
Buttons. The white ones are from a big bottle of vintage buttons I got at a thrift store and the colored buttons are misc. colors by Papertrey Ink.
Stamp Set and Die. I accidently bought the Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames set and Die twice so you’ll be getting this one!!!
Glue and Cleaner. I know a lot of people use Glossy Accents almost exclusively for their gluing needs. I like to use Mat Accents instead. Glossy accents can leave a little shiny spot if you use to much glue (which I do often) and Mat Accents doesn’t do that. You will also get a bottle of this tool cleaner which I accidently purchased twice as well. Your bottle will be full though. Your’s is still wrapped in the bubble wrap for shipping.
Like I said before, I will be adding things from my stash to this pile as time goes own. That way you’ll have some fun surprises when it comes to you! If you win that is!!!
All you need to do is leave a comment and add a link to my blog with the picture at the top of the post on your blog somewhere. And please, only enter once to be fair to everyone. I will ship internationally. I will draw for the winner using random.org on January 20!!!
Send as many people over as you can. So, go forth and bring people back!!!
Blessings,
Christine
Now that it’s the first of November, the October contest has to come to a close.
The winner of the October Comment to Win contest is the lovely Kim. I’m so happy that her number came up. She has visited my blog almost since the beginning and has not been feeling well herself these days. I’m so happy that I can do a little something to cheer her up.
Kim lives in the UK so I’m going to find a prize just for her that she may not be able to get as easily in Europe.
Congratulations Kim!!!
Blessings,
Christine
First of all, I have to apologize for not coming around to visit this past week. It’s been so busy with getting ready for my trip. Then when I got here, my sister and I had a little fun before she left for her vacation.
Now, as promised, I’m starting out the month of October with another giveaway!!!
I haven’t decided what to give yet. Maybe it will be something that I get while I’m in Utah or maybe something that I make. I’ll post a picture as soon as I decide!!!
So, the rules are the same as my Birthday Giveaway. Comment on every post during the month of October, plus, put the above button with a link to my blog on your sidebar. That’s it!!! On the first of November, another giveaway will start and I will choose the October winner. How fun is that?
I love it when you come and visit!!! I love the love!!!
Blessings,
Christine
One of the peeps that originally won my giveaway hasn’t contacted me yet so I used random.org to choose another number and the lucky lady is…
Congratulations Jenny!!! You have until Sunday evening to contact me and if you don’t, sorry, but the prize will be forfieted I won’t be drawing for a third time since I will be going out of town next week.
However, the Comment for a Giveaway game was so much fun that I will start it again on October 1st. All comments made during the month will count towards a giveaway at the end of the month. Sometime during the month, I will announce what the prize will be. Maybe something I made that I’m especially proud of or maybe some artsy crafty supplies!!!
I have loved reading all the comments each day that I just want it to continue!!! This will continue each month until further notice. Doesn’t that sound fun!!!
So, come back here on October 1st for all the details!!!
Blessings,
Christine

It’s my birthday on the 23rd of September and you are getting the presents. There will be more than one—at least three—gifts!!! Yay!!! So what do you need to do, you ask? Comment on every post, every day added chances of winning. And please, follow my blog! I love it when that number goes up!
My first birthday present! Making Memories Passport Album kit. I bought one of these for myself to scrap my pictures from the Oregon Coast and I liked it so much, I got one for you as well. The kit includes:
1 8x8 album with window, 8 8x8 designer papers, 4 journaling tags, 94 alpha stickers, 43 label stickers and 13 pebble stickers. Everything you need except the photos!!!
This won’t be all. I’ll have another photo soon!!!

I’m adding a new prize for my giveaway. So that means there will be at least two winners!!! Yay!!! This time it’s a set of Tim Holtz clear stamps.
Whatdaya say? Would you like some of these?
Keep commenting on every post until Sept. 23 for your chance to win.
Edited to say that I will be adding some of my favorite vintage embellishments to this prize!
Stay tuned because I will be adding one more item in the next few days!!!
in a lot of ways. Today I want to talk about this: I won the grand prize on the Paper Maniac blog hop. All of this was in a box that arrived today from Patti. Lots of paper, stamps, paint, dies, even that cute little Xyron. I can only guess at the value. Now, time for a commercial break.
I love to shop at Paper Maniac. I place an order at least once month to get my Copic fix and many other goodies as well. They have Copic kit club where they send you ten (I think) pens plus tutorials on a given subject. They also send a link to a video tutorial. How cool is that?
Plus, she stocks so many wonderful products and and many of them at a discount. What can be better than that, you ask? You get free shipping on your order over $75.00 and she sends the order out the very next day. Her customer service is excellent. Last month I accidently ordered the prior month Copic kit and she emailed me to check if I had made a mistake. She already new that I had that kit!!! Now, that is personalized service!
I hope your day is as good as mine! Thanks for coming buy today!
Every comment left until September 23 will be entered to win my Birthday giveaway.
Blessings,
Christine
***This Giveaway is now closed***
I told you that I was loving all the sewing images out there. This one is very similar to the Tim Holtz stamp but just different enough that I wanted both.
I stamped the image twice (actually a couple of weeks ago) and decided to just color them both. I have three different paper stacks that have sewing themed papers in them.
The first one I did in my fave retro color combo. I love the pink and turquoise colors together. I’ve mentioned before that my kitchen is decorated in the pink and turquoise 50s style.
I also made a card for all of you because you are all so special to me.
Well, the good thing for you all is that I accidently ordered two of this great sewing stamp.
I’m going to give the extra one away! Yay!!! I’ll be sending the winner some of my favorite goodies from my stash. Think buttons, ribbons and whatever else I can come up with.
So, all you have to do is tell all your friends about it on your blog and then come back here and leave me a comment!
That’s it for now! Oh, I almost forgot to set an end date. How about I make it easy to remember and give you two weeks until June 15!
Blessings,
Christine

Thanks to everyone who voted for our team during the Greeting Farm Battle but unfortunately we didn’t make it through to the next week. Did you see all those beautiful cards in the contest?
As promised, I’m giving one person who commented that they voted for our cards in the battle a $10 gift certificate to the Greeting Farm. I used random.org to choose a winner and it is the very talented Linda Ledbetter. She makes wonderful artsy cards and projects and just became a design team member over at Gingersnap Creations.
I found Linda through one of my blogging friends, Lynn. Lynn and Linda both live in my neck of the woods and we are going to meet each other next month. I can’t wait!!!
Congrats Linda! I’ll send you the info in a few minutes as soon as I head over to TGF.
I worked on a wonderful new Squigglefly image yesterday but decided to hold it for FBW next week. I’ve got a couple more new ones so I’ll be back later to show you one of their digi stamps that will hopefully be released on Saturday. The owner of Squigglefly has been having computer problems and she is waiting on a new one in order to put the new release in the store. But I’ll be showing some them to you here so stay tuned!!!
Have a great day everyone!
Blessings,
Christine
I didn’t get a chance to get a card made this week for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge. I feel really bad but it’s been quite a stressful week here at my sister’s house in Utah.
I do have some other things to share with you though. First of all, did you all notice that this little bugger was hanging out on my post last week for FBW? If you read the challenge post on the FBW challenge blog, you know that this meant that I had candy to share!
I had originally planned to be home by now and to have made some headway into my creative space reorganization and gather some things to share with the winner. Since I haven’t gotten home yet, I decided to give away this stamp set instead!
You knew it had to have something to do with butterflies didn’t you?
The lucky winner is Craft Princess! Please send me your address and I will get this ordered for you. I will be ordering it online and ship it directly to you!
Now, the challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to include some type of embossing on your project as well as a butterfly, fairy or angel.
If you'd like to play along, go check out all of the other lovely DT blogs by clicking on their links on the right sidebar and then go to the Flutter By Wednesday challenge blog to link up your card.
**************************************
Today is also a new challenge at Just Buggin’. The challenge this week is Monochromatic. Make a monochromatic project with at least one die cut from your Cricut. You can make anything you'd like as long as it fits with the current challenge. The creations by the design team are being posted each day of the week so check every day for inspiration. My day is Tuesday so I’ll be posting my creation on Tuesday.
That’s about it for today! See ya back here in a day or two!!!
Blessings,
Christine
No, really I’m not going cry! Because I have a gift for you!!! That’s why!
It’s been a year since, while on a trip to Utah, my sister, Rose, talked me into starting a blog. I thought I’d post a couple of times a month about things going on in my life but how could I have known how it would change my life! Definitely for the good!!!
I’m not sure how I found the first cardmaking blog, but I’ve come to realize some things since I started my blog!
1. It’s so easy to make friends from around the world that you have never, and probably will never meet!
2. It was impossible to even imagine how much creativity there is in the blog world.
3. I absolutely LOVE papercrafting, especially cards! Since I started blogging, I have hardly made any crafts that did not involve some kind of paper! I think I love challenge blogs even more!
4. Design Teams. What the heck is a design team anyway? I love the design teams that I’m on and really enjoy pushing my talent to design even more and better creations!
That’s all I’m going to list (they are to numerable too list them all) except one last one.
5. I can procrastinate going to the post office FOREVER!!!
Knowing #5 about myself, is the good news for you. I’m going to giveaway a gift card to your favorite papercraft online store. How much, you say? I’ve tossed this around a bit. Give more than one or give one big gift card? I decided, since I’ve always given smaller gifts, this time I’m going to give a $50.00 gift card to the store of your choice!!!
So if you like to shop at then I’ll give you a gift card there. If you’d rather go to the store where they have the Copics coloring kits, Paper Maniac, then you can go there. If you LOVE
as much as I do, by all means, give them a try!!! But if you want a GREAT selection,
would be your choice! But I could not leave out
,
,
(my new favorite place), or
.
You get the idea, right. Where ever you want. These are just some of my favorite places to shop!!! It really doesn’t even have to be a papercraft store as long as it has something to do with your hobby! Last time I gave a lady a gift certificate to Cooks.com.
Okay, this is what you have to do! Leave a comment on this post! Post the picture at the top of this post on the sidebar of your blog with a link to my candy. While your here, have a look around and if you like my blog, please become a follower. I will pick the winner out of all the entries on Jan. 10 of the next decade (2010)!!! That’s the date I started my blog! That’s it! Easy, peasy, tight and squeezey!!!
ANYONE FROM ANY COUNTRY CAN ENTER MY GIVEAWAY.
Blessings,
Christine
