Music Box

When Holly sent these images to me, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them.  music box The ballerinas come in a set and the sentiment is separate but I think it goes perfectly with the music box theme.  I made a stair step card to put the little ballerinas on that I had fussy cut.  I put them on the card with wire. I also added wire to the ballerina with her leg in the air to keep her stable.

I probably won’t be making a card like this again.  It was very time consuming.  I really do like how it turned out though; maybe it would be faster the second time.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Blessings,

Christine

You Are my Sunshine

It’s my last Squigglefly challenge as DT.  Kinda’ sad but I’ll still be playing along when I can!  Since today is the first day of summer (an my brother’s birthday *giggle*), our challenge this week is to use some sunshiney yellow on your project!  10-06-21 As I was coloring these beautiful flowers, I realized they look just like my beautiful yellow roses!  They’ve been a little slow in getting started this year.  I think they suffered a little winter kill. 10-06-21 side view I colored to of the images and cut some of the petals out to raise them up.  I did a little bit of molding to get the paper to look more like petals.  This is one of my fave Squigglefly images!

Holly tells me that there will be one more release before the end of the month so this isn’t the end of my Squigglefly projects.

I have some other projects that I’ve started or are done so I won’t be leaving you all alone this week even though I will need to be working around the house.  My sister’s, neice, mom and I are having a joint garage sale this week so I have to get some things ready to go.  If any one lives in the Boise area, let me know so I can give you the address.  You never know, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure!

See ya’ later, alligator!  After awhile crocodile!!!

Blessings,

Christine

Party Girls

I’m about ready to SCREAM!  First of all, this card was without a doubt one of the hardest I have ever made, bar done.  I colored the image two and a half times and made the card twice.  I will spare you those details!

Then, while trying to post it, every time I hit backspace, Windows Live Writer would stop working.  AAAAAAAAAAAck!

I really do like this cute little Girl’s Trip by Jackie Matthews! Party Girls Isn’t it adorable! They are cutie patooties, aren’t they?  But I think there might be something to say about how all the passenger’s eyes are closed!!!  That gal must be one heck of a driver!!!

So now you’ve seen two of Jackie’s new images so what are you waiting for?  Go!  Now!  See the rest!!!

Who knows what I’ll be up to next!!!  I don’t even know but be back here in a day or two to see!

Blessings,

Christine

Edited to say that Harry, or Harriet, is available now at Squigglefly!!!

Now, don’t run over to Squigglefly and try to get him because he’s not available yet.  But head on over there because there is a new patriotic shy bear freebie.  Shy Bears: God Bless Our TroopsAren’t they adorable!!!  Just click on the picture and it will take you to the freebie page.

I have been having such a strange day.  I just cannot seem to stay on task.  I was ready to post this card hours ago but kept getting distracted.  Plus, my computer is giving me fits! Grrrr!!!

I promised to show you another cute image by Squigglefly’s new artist, Mark Hicks.  This will be available tomorrow.bubble bath Isn’t she just adorable!!!  My sister came over the other day to get a card for a little girl in her Sunday School class of three year olds (she was turning 4) and I didn’t really have much for her to choose from so I was happy to see this cute little girl!  I need to restock my cards with some girl and boy images.  I have even less little boy cards.

Come back later, okay.  I’ve just been creating and creating so I have lots to share!!!

Cody’s Papa Ron

Hello my peeps!  I wanted to get this posted really quick to let you all know that their is going to be another Squigglefly release this weekend.  cody's papa ron When I first saw this image it just brought a smile to my face.  My great nephew walks around with anything he can find that looks like a cell phone and talks into it “Papa Ron, Papa Ron.”  It is so much fun to watch.  Papa Ron is my brother!

We have a new artist again this week, Mark Hicks.  I received two of his images and they are adorable!!!  I’ll have another one later in the day.  I have it all colored and just need to put it together.

I’m hoping to get my car into the shop tomorrow.  I was going to go yesterday but when I fell I hurt way to bad to sit around a shop for the afternoon.  Speaking of that, I feel quite a lot better today.  As long as I wear a sports bra my ribs don’t hurt too bad.  There are some other aches and bruises but I’m sure I’ll heal fine.  Thanks so much for all the well wishes.

Have a great Friday.  To my U.S. friends, I hope you have some fun planned for Memorial Day weekend.  I don’t really have anything planned.  In our neck of the woods, the town pretty much dies on summer holiday weekends.  Everyone heads for the mountains and some camping.  I’m hoping to get up their for awhile sometime this summer!!!

Squigglefly Challenge

With all the Mothers’ Day hype yesterday, I totally forgot to post my Squigglefly challenge card.  100_6123 I made a wedding card using papers and lace from my niece's wedding scrapbook that I still need to complete!  I used a new image that is going to be released on Saturday.  With Holly’s help, I turned the image blue to match my blue and gray papers.  Just to show how versatile the images are, I stamped a Papertrey Ink sentiment over this wonderful journaling image.

That’s it for now.  I’ll come back with the deets later!

Here Comes the Muffin Man!

That’s right, I did some baking.  100_6098 Well, kind of.  I made a muffin mix so I could show of this fun new image from Squigglefly.  Don't run over there and try to get it because it won’t be released until next Saturday, the 15th.  These cute label images were designed by a brand new stamp designer for Squigglefly -- Michelle Bertuzzi.  Aren’t they fabulous!!!  The labels, not the muffins.  The muffins are just ok.  At least this project got me in the kitchen!!!  Maybe they’d be better if I frosted them with chocolate icing!!!

I’m working on two other cards using some of her new images.  One of them will be my card for the Squigglefly challenge on Monday!  The other one I’ll have up soon.  I need to finish my Moms’ Day card and my challenge card before I make that one.  It’s the perfect image for a Fathers’ Day card.

And if that isn’t enough, I have two other images that will be released next Saturday.  I can’t wait to show all of them to you.

Blessings,

Christine

Picking Daisies

I have another “cute” Squigglefly card for you today!  It feels so good to have a card a day again.  I have a couple that I worked on before my studio redo so even if I take a day off, I’ll have something to show you!  picking flowersYes, I went an picked up my camera today!  Yay!   Now, back to my cute little girl picking flowers!  “May Daisy” was drawn by Lynne Stansberry.  I love, and have, so many of her images!!!

You can’t see it in the photo, but there’s glitter glue on those lovely flowers.  I love highlighting these beauties with glitter glue.  I just can’t believe that I didn’t used to like glitter.  I think it’s running in my blood now.  When I started making cards a little over a year ago, I didn’t think I would ever use ribbon and glitter “girly” things.  Look at me now!!!  A card isn’t complete unless it’s all tied up in ribbon.  I have sooooo much ribbon!!!

I’ll be back tomorrow with a Flutterby Wednesday creation!!!

Christine

Squigglefly Whale

I promised another fun Squigglefly image drawn by Jackie Matthews and here it is!  orange whale When I saw this cute image I knew it needed to be made into a baby card.  I went with very unconventional colors for this cute image.  The whale is really orange but looks brown in this scan.  It will be so fun for a new baby or 1st birthday card, don’t you think?

My camera is at my sis’ house here in town so I’ll be getting it tomorrow.  Yay!  I like the photos much better than the scans.  I have another migraine today so I’m just creating my way out of it.  I have another card to share but I’m waiting to take a photo instead of a scan.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some more fun!!!

Squiggly Flower Girls

I told you that I would be making something with one of the lovely new images just released from Squiggleflyflower girlsIsn’t this the cutest little flower pot drawn by Jackie Matthews.  Squigglefly released a number of images drawn by Jackie.  I have a couple of more to show you in the next few days.

Sorry for the photo quality.  I haven’t located my camera since I got back from Utah so I had to scan it.  I plan to unpack the rest of my bags before I start creating tomorrow.  However, I left at least one bag behind (it had a box of my fave chocolates) so the camera might be gone for a few weeks.

I also need to unpack a few more boxes from my studio reorganization.  I had to make this card without my nesties!  I just don’t know how I did it!!!

Squigglefly Doodles

2nd Post for Today.

Please scroll down to see my Fantabulous Cricut creation!!!

The challenge this week at Squigglefly is to use some kind of doodling on your creation.  I have to tell you, I never think to doodle on cards and there is a reason.  I draw so poorly that I can’t even doodle!!!  10-04-12 But it’s hard to mess things up when you start with such a cute image.  This was released on Saturday and was drawn by Lynne Stansberry.  Doesn’t she doe a beautiful job?

So if you want to play along, just go to the Squigglefly challenge blog to see all the lovely dt creations and get the info to play along.

I’m cutting this short because my computer keeps shutting down.  I’m going to put it to bed and hopefully it will be all better tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by.  I really enjoy the visit.
