I don’t make the time to participate in Pink Saturday very often and that’s my bad because I really do enjoy it!
We are posting a theme for our Pink Saturday posts this month and everything worked out perfectly for me since I finished (what I think is) my fabulous pink adorned feather tree!!! The them this week is Christmas Carols and I chose “O Christmas Tree” since I sjst finished my tree on Friday night in time to take the photos and use it on Pink Saturday!
I bought this beautiful pre-lit feather tree at an after Christmas clearance sale a few years ago and have yet to use it. Since I didn’t want to do a lot of decorating this year, it was the perfect opportunity to take it out and use it on top of a dresser in my studio.
My tree in all it’s glory! Don’t worry about the paneling in the background—it’ll be painted over shortly after the first of the year!!!
And my tree in the darkness.
Now I’ll show you some of my handmade ornaments.
I made tussie mussies out of sheet music paper downloaded from the Graphics Fairy. I colored the paper with a thin pink craft paint and then with Mod Podge to make them pliable and easier to form into the cones.
I embellished them with lace, buttons and silver pipe cleaners. I think the silver pipe cleaners look quite a lot like vintage tinsel garland.
I also applied Mod Podge to some miscellaneous vintage Christmas graphics to place inside the tussie mussies along with some white feathers.
I Mod Podged some of the same vintage music paper and pink craft paint onto Styrofoam balls and then applied another layer of Mod Podge and some sugary glitter. I filled some clear ornaments with silver glitter!
To decorate under the tree, I placed some mini lights on the dresser top and covered with a snow like blanket.
I painted some houses and a church in the light pink paint and applied some of the same sugary glitter using Mod Podge.
To finish it off, I added some of my vintage mercury glass ornaments in silver and pink to the tree and on the snow.
I hope you enjoyed my Pink Saturday carol!
Blessings,
Christine

Happy Pink Halloween!!!
For Pink Saturday today, I thought I’d share some pink puppies I found around the internet!
I have no clue what she is supposed to be, but she is adorable!
And I couldn’t resist a little butterfly…
…or a tu-tu!
And what about this little pirate!
I have such a soft spot for Schnauzers…and flowers!
And the little pom princess is the cutest of all!
Well, did you think I could leave the feline crew out?
Just a couple more!
I have no words.
And lastly, I’ll leave you with some beautiful pink Halloween treats!!!
If you would like to participate in Pink Saturday, go see Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. She’s definitely the hostess with the mostess.

I thought it would be fun today to give you a tour of my (imaginary) pink home.
Welcome!
I bought a new dress for the occasion. Do you like it? Okay, let’s start the tour.
Of course here is the living room. Don’t you just love our new pink sofa? If you need a drink, the bar is on your left. Help yourself.
The dining room is right over here. We won’t be eating in here today, it’s such a lovely evening we’ll be dining outside.
Just through here is our lovely kitchen. The maid has her daughter helping us out with dinner tonight.
Shall we go upstairs? My bedroom is simply to die for! I sleep so beautifully in here.
And of course, the restroom is to your right. You’ll find anything that you will need during your visit.
Now let’s go outside and sit on the patio until dinner is served. We’ll grab a cocktail on the way.
I hope you enjoyed your visit! I’ll see you next Saturday for some more lovely pink to be shared on Pink Saturday hosted by the lovely Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.
Blessings,
Christine
I haven’t participated in Pink Saturday in f.o.r.e.v.e.r!!!
So I thought I would start back on my road to Pink Saturday with flowers for you all!
Lots of pink flowers.
Pink roses.
Beautiful pink orchids.
And more pink orchids.
Pink daisies.
Stunning Hydrangea.
I hope you enjoyed!
Happy Pink Saturday!!! If you have some pink that you would like to show off, Beverly at How Sweet the Sound is our Hostess!
Blessings,
Christine

Happy Pink Saturday!
I bought this little pink Kewpie doll while on vacation in the Iowa Amish country. There are a series of small touristy towns near where the Amish live. They are mostly gift shops, restaurants and bakeries. Some of the wares sold at the stores are handmade by the Amish, but, of course, this wasn’t. But I loved her so much. Look how she holds her arms up there so that you will pick her up. She’s so precious!!!
I looked on the Internet to see how old something needs to be before it is considered ‘vintage.’ I found 50 years, 20 years, 25 years. I think I’m going with the 50 years. I don’t like the idea of something that I bought when I was in my 30s (while this is) to be considered vintage!
Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday every week. This is a very fun event. Each of us post some pink on our blog on Saturday and try to visit as many of the other blogs as possible. Big thanks to Beverly for coordinating all the pinkaliciousness!
Happy Pink Saturday,
Christine
It’s been a long time since I participate in Pink Saturday. It’s not that I don’t have enough pink around the house but that I just keep forgetting. But I got to it this week!!!
I was originally going to post my Pink Thrifty Finds from when I was in Utah but didn’t get a chance to get photos taken. So then I decided to post something I took photos of a couple of weeks ago, but now I can’t find those photos. So this is what I decided to do.
To me, the epitome of pink in the movies is:
Of course, who can forget the pink ladies. And who’s the pinkest of the pink?
Frenchy, of course.
It was so dreamy when Frankie Valli sang to her! Actually, I think it was a dream!
As often happens with popular movies, the pink theme of this movie took a life of its own.
Pink Lady Barbies;
Pink Lady jackets;
Pink Lady costumes (you know that would definitely be coming);
and even cakes!
But what takes the cake (no pun intended), a Pink Lady dog!!! Frenchy, of course.
