Uma Fiddler!

No, Uma not a fiddler but I couldn’t resist the pun. This sweet girl’s name is Uma and she’s playing a fiddle/violin! I knew my mom would love this image when I saw it and just had to color her up.

My mom plays the fiddle and also love’s Jess’ girls. Yes, she took that card with her when she was over yesterday. I’m sure it will go to one of her fiddling friends. Or maybe it will be one of them that she holds on to for herself!

I used some pretty Prima flowers from the McMahon Five Designs store. The dp is Basic Grey and the flower ribbon is American Crafts.

Young Pianist

I chose to work with another of Jess’ beautiful images.  A lot of times I look at Jess’s original artwork before I start one of her images but I didn’t think to do that this time.  Go over here (Link to Original Artwork) and take a look.  My interpretation of this beautiful girl couldn’t be more different from hers!  I used Prima’s Songbird paper and flowers that you can get at the McMahon Five Designs store.  I also used some Zva Pearls that I colored with my Copics.

Here’s a close up as well!

Now on to the rest of the release!

Roots

I’ve said before that I love the images from Jessica of Solocosmo and this week is no exception!

02-02 roots close up

This one is called Roots.  Her arms and legs turn in to roots.  Jessica is such a gifted artist.  You can see her version of the image here.  Compared to hers, mine is kind of lame but I like her anyway!!!

02-02 rootsHere is the complete card for your viewing pleasure!  The DP is Basic Grey Out of Print and the ribbon is from my stash.

In other news, we have a new stamp designer.  Her name is Linda Stahl and the designs I’ve seen so far are stunning.  I can’t wait to use one of them.

Let’s take a look at the new releases for this week.

Annie Oakley

If you might remember, my last several McMahon post (we’ve been on vacation for a few weeks) were of beautiful Victorian women and I was telling a little love story.  Well the love story is  going to wait until next week while we make room for Annie Oakley!  If you believe Hollywood, Annie Oakley had several love stories of her own.

My cute Annie Oakley card is made with Cosmo Cricket Wanted dp, handmade felt rolled roses, Wild Orchid Crafts leaves, some cute fringe ribbon and a Martha Stewart punch (that also embosses—kewl!).

My Little Clown

Hi all!  I’m back from the cruise but still in Utah.  I’ll be home late tomorrow evening and I can’t want to be home and sleep in my own bed.  The sea was a little choppy so things weren’t very steady.  I didn’t take anything for motion sickness and still didn’t get sick but only today have things stopped moving.  I’ll do a post later about the cruise!  It was a great time!!!

Here’s the card I made for this weeks release.

Isn’t she adorable.  I colored her with Copics and used dp from the Basic Grey Kioshi Paper Pad.  I love the way she turned out!
