Snow, Beautiful Snow

My sister and I went to McCall Winter Carnival today. It was a beautiful day but now I am really paying for it. My feet hurt at about an 8. Ouch!!!

I took some great pictures. I didn't know how they would turn out but they were all wonderful. There are a lot of strangers in the pictures because it was so busy it was impossible to get a picture without people it in. Enjoy!!!

The top picture was my favorite sculpture. I couldn't get a picture of the whole thing since I would have had to go across the street and it was literally bumper to bumper traffic. I would have had the same thing I have now but with cars on the bottom.

The castle sits up on a tree (those are leaves on the bottom of the picture) and under that were the branches with faces carved into them. It was beautiful!

This was one of my favorites being the outdoors gal that I am. It's hard to see that the bear is catching a fish.

This is in the parking lot of the pizza place. It's a big ole fish eating a pizza pie!

The furniture store had a speed boat with "Sum R Fun" written on it. People around were saying that they wish it was summer so they could be on the lake. This is very appropriate because there is a partially frozen lake directly behind the store. I think you can kind of see it if you look at the left side of the picture in the middle. The dark blue is a mountain and the silver of blue underneath is the lake. The building hides most of the lake.

At the Forest Service Office, they had a Candy Land game theme. It was very cute. As you can see on the ground they even had the spaces on the board. This one was on the shady side of the street so it didn't turn out that great. They even had an outhouse!!!

The grocery store had an ice cream sundae complete with a chery on top. Where's the whipped cream?
The window that let's you browse pictures only has teeny, tiny thumbnails so I didn't always get the pic I wanted but this is a pretty good representation. I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly but I also had to put all the pictures in reverse order. Oh well, at least now I know how to do it.
Alice and I also went to the quilt shops in McCall. Alicia had been bugging Alice about bringing something home for her so we stopped and got some snow and put it in a ziploc. She also got something else to but I think the snow idea was great since it will be just water by the time she gets it.
That's all for now. I'm going to go soak in the tub and hopefully these feet and legs will feel a little better.

Recovery

I found a backup from 2006 containing my pics. That combined with the SD cards that haven't been deleted, I was able to recover a lot of pics. I'm still missing 2006 through last summer though. I sure hope I can get those pics from the old computer.

I Lost My Pictures!!!

I thought that I had backed up my computer (especially my photos) before my old computer died. Well, I went to add my photos on my new laptop and the disc is blank!!! I'll call Ron later and see if he can get my computer back so I can take it to someone and see if they can get the pics off. I sure hope they can get them. I can't belive I lost them.

I Love Cupcakes

So on the Martha Stewart show the other day, she announced that she is releasing a cupcake cookbook. It is going to be full of recipes and techiques. I've decided I'm going to buy it when it comes out and make my way through the book. I will post my results (good or bad) here.

I went to the scrapbook store today and bought a set of cupcake themed acrylic stamps.

I can't remember when she said the book was coming out. I don't think it's for at least a few months.
I can't wait for my new project.

Docs

I saw the docs on Thursday. Everything is great! My liver ensymes are up so they are taking me off the Crestor and the prograf level is low so they are increasing that dose. Rejection and everything else looked great!!!!

Been staying with my sis and today we made bookmarks with my new Cricuit machine. It was really fun. Trisha made some with Aggies on them for her friends and Rose made a bunch of different ones. I made one for Alice to say Thanks for taking care of my pup while I am in Utah.

I'm going to start posting pictures of the crafts I do. I don't have my camera with me or I would take pictures of the bookmarks we all made.

My next doc appts are in May so I'll bring my stuff down again and we can make cards and stuff.

Rose is making burgers for dinner. Yum!!!

I'm a Blogger

I did it. I set up my own blog. Yea! It took me 9 years but I'm now in the 21st century.

Now, I just need to come in here and type something every once in awhile. Since I'm not a great journal writer, I'm going to try a little better with this.

I'll be going to the doc this week to see how everything is going. I trust everyting will be great!!! (as always). I'll post more about that later.
