Eat Cake

It’s my day again to post on the Paper Maniac Inspiration blog. This week we are showing off our Memory Box papers (and stamps if I had one). I hadn’t seen Memory Box papers before ordering them from Paper Maniac and I am in love with them now. They are kind of whimsical, kind of vintage, kind of shabby all in one paper stack. They’ve become quite a popular line at the store. There are some great Memory Box stamps as well.

I chose to play with the Memory Box Gossamer stack and since I don’t have an appropriate Memory Box stamp (the only one I have is Christmas) I chose to use the Unity Domestic Bliss set by Melody Ross. Of course, you all know how much I love things by Melody!!! I also added some Kaisercraft pearls that I colored with Copics.

Speaking of which, Patti is now stocking Melody’s Homespun Chic and Artsy Urban papers by GCD. She has also ordered some others that are debuting at CHA. I know I’ll be ordering one of everything that she gets!!!

So, I hope I’ve kept you with me until now! We are having an Inventory Reduction Sale at Paper Maniac and it’s a progressive sale. This is how it works.

Sally Space Girl

It’s Thursday so that means it’s release day again at McMahon Five Designs.  We have some fun and beautiful images for you today.  I’ve included all of my teamies cards today because they are so beautiful!  The M5D team is so talented.

I made a card today with Sally Spacegirl.  She is all decked out for Space Camp. 

One of my favorite places in the world is Cape Canaveral.  I have been there three times and I spend the whole day touring the facilities.  It is such an amazing place and just holds me in awe.  Ever since I was young and looked up at the moon when Neil Armstrong was took the first step on the moon, I have been enamored by the space program! 

My dream job would be to work with the computers at NASA!  However, I wouldn’t really want to live in either Florida or Houston so I guess that’s not going to work!!!

Lovely Thoughts

It’s my turn to post on the Paper Maniac Inspirations blog. Our theme this week is vintage—my favorite style. I used two images and a sentiment from the fun Artistic Outpost Neverland set. I feel in love with this set and had to have it!!!

The paper is from the Kaisercraft English Rose pad. The lace is vintage from a RAK. I love using vintage items on my creations whenever I can. The pearls are Basic Grey and cardstock is Papertrey Ink.

Winter Birds

It’s my day again to post for the Paper Maniac Inspiration blog and our theme this week is winter.

I used the Memory Box Mistletoe paper stack. Aren’t those little birdies so cute dressed up in their hats and coats. I inked it all up with lots of Distress Ink. I added some of the paper to a chipboard bird and applied Distress Ink all over it as well. I dyed some crinkly rayon seam binding with some of the same colors of Distress Ink that I used on the papers.

Now it’s way past time for me to go to bed. I’m scheduling this post for noon so you’ll probably be seeing it before I even get logged on to my computer. He-he!!!

Scribbling with Tim

Posting quick so I don’t miss the deadline for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge by Linda!!!  Back in a bit for details!

I’m back!  I made this tag on the day after the challenge was posted but was so busy with everything at Christmas time that I totally forgot to post it.  I saw a project on someone else’s blog yesterday and still almost forgot!  Yay, but it’s here now!!!

The challenge this week is the Scribble Stain technique!!!  I love this technique but you can’t really see it much on my tag.  I only have two colors of distress reinkers and not good ones for this technique to really show. 

More re-inkers are definitely on my wish list for 2010!  I’ve been buying a paint dauber every time I go to my lss but I think I’ll start adding reinters to that list!!!  There are just so many things that you can do with puddles of distress ink!

I’ve been working on a lot of fun creative projects this week and will hopefully have something to share tomorrow! 

Did you work in your Art Journal today for Art Journal Everyday?  I worked on a couple of things but not one of my art journals.  I’ll be making time for that between now and when I start on my project for Paper Maniac Inspiration this week!

Happy 2011!

Happy New Year My Friends!!!

I’m sorry that I haven’t been around to see you much lately but I’ve been trying to get some things done before the new year rings in.

I do love seeing all of your blogs and I do look at them each time you post.  Have you ever used Google Reader?  It allows me to view all the blogs I love a lot quicker so when I don’t have time to leave comments, at least know that I’m looking!!!
