3rd Post.

Please scroll down for my Growing in Unity Post and my McMahon Five card!!!

sale graphicIt’s finally here (shedding a few tears), the final days of the Paper Maniac store.  Everything is marked WAY down.  When you get there, be sure to read the fine print on the front page.  Sue can no longer offer free shipping because the discounts are so steep.

Go now and take a look.  Many items are one of a kind and will be selling out quickly!!!

Another Day with Unity

2nd Post.

Please scroll down for the McMahon Five Thursday release and a beautiful vintage lady made into a card!!!

picture perfectThis Unity stamp set is what made me decide to start receiving the Kit of the Month.  I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw the photo.  To be honest, I’m not sure what occasion I would use for this card but I’m sure it will be “Picture Perfect” at some time.

Once again, more GCD Melody Ross paper.  I just can’t help it.  I love it so much!!!  Tomorrow, I promise there won’t be any Melody Ross in sight!!!

I’ve been working in my yard a bit the last couple of weeks.  I want my yard, in particular, the area leading up to my deck and my deck to be a haven of peace and beauty to me.  Along those lines, I’m planting a fairy garden.  I think I mentioned it before.  Tonight, I installed the drip hose watering system into the half whiskey barrel and put the fairy house in there.  I was hoping to have a picture to share but it was a little dark when I finished.  I plan to take photos all along the way and share them with you.  I think I’ll do it all in one post though.  I’m very excited about it and think it will turn out beautifully!!! (if I do say so myself)

That’s it for today!

Blessings,

Christine

Lounging Around

That wouldn’t be me these last couple of days.  I’ve been so busy making cards and such and working in my yard.  Tomorrow I have a meeting that I’m very excited about.  I will learn what part I will be taking in the Yes Idaho! organ donation group.  My sister is going with me so she can volunteer as well.  I’m just so excited about it!!!  That’s what Soul Restoration II has done for me!!!

This is the lounging beauty that I was talking about.  It’s another new image from McMahon Vintage.  Isn’t she beautiful.  While I was coloring her, I was wondering what must be on her mind.  I decided that she must be thinking of the man that gave her the beautiful rose on her lapel.

Now on to this week’s release!

Today is the Day

…that I’m featured on the Unity blog

as you areAnd this is the project that I created.  I have really enjoyed collaging lately.  I used a lot of Unity stamps, mostly sentiments and backgrounds, for the background and then used a sentiment from one of Melody RossUnity stamp sets for the main sentiment on the piece—“you are just right exactly as you are.”

Come back tomorrow and I’ll tell you all about the stamp sets that you can choose from!  I’ll also have a card from a past KOM and on Friday I’m planning on using a Suzi Blu stamp!  Can’t wait to see you here!!!

Blessings,

Christine

Day 2 with Growing in Unity!  This has been so much fun.  I love picking out my favorite Unity stamps to share a few projects with you!!!

fresh beginningToday, I’m letting the paper and the sentiment do the talking.  The sentiment is from a Webster’s Pages set and, of course, the paper is also Webster’s Pages.

I also used some Basic Grey pearls, May Arts ribbon and I coated some wire with flower soft as an accent to the bow.  I can’t hardly tie a bow without putting some kind of accent on it, can I?

Check back again tomorrow for a great project featuring Unity stamps and don’t forget to leave a comment today for another chance at winning the Unity Stamp set!!!

Blessings,

Christine

More Growing in Unity

enjoy this day monday

For those of you that are coming to my blog as part of Growing in Unity, I love Melody Ross!!!  Everyone else already knows that!  Two of my other favorite things are also on this card, bicycles and flowers.  It can’t get any better than that!!!

I used one of Melody’s Unity stamp sets for this card with a sentiment from another set by Melody (past store kit).  I used GCD’s DP also designed by Melody.

I meant to post this earlier in the day.  I’m a late sleeper and usually get up about noon.  I checked my emails and Facebook, made this card and then photographed and edited it.  Then I went off to work on my other projects for the week!!!   Oops!  It’s up here now!

The good news is, I have tomorrow’s card almost done, still working on Wednesday’s project and I have Thursday and Friday’s cards already in the works!  Yay!!!

I’m off now to finish tomorrow’s card and work on Wednesday’s project because it will need some drying time before I photo it tomorrow.  Stay tuned!  There’s a lot going on this week!!!

Blessings,

Christine

P.S.  Don’t forget to comment for a chance to win a Unity stamp set!!!

I am so pleased to announce that I am this weeks Growing in Unity gal.  Not only does that mean that you get to see some Unity goodness from little ol’ me but Unity is hosting a giveaway on my blog this week!!!

02-01 everything mattersI’m still working on my project for today (Monday) so I’m sharing a card that has been up on my blog before!   I think this is my favorite card to date using Unity stamps!!!

So now about the giveaway.  Unity has given me a list of kits from which the winner of the giveaway will be able to choose.  I’ll talk about those later this week.  All you need to do is comment on my Unity posts each day and you will be in on the chance to win.  Since I don’t have my card ready for today, that means you get to enter twice today.  Once on this post and once on the post I’ll be doing later.

And on Wednesday, I’ll be featured on the Unity blog with an extra special project I’ve been working on!

See ya’ in a bit!!!

Moonlight Dive

moonlight diveAnother card for you today!  This is part of the McMahon Vintage release from last week.  I wasn’t feeling very well when it was released but loved the image so much and new how perfect it was for this Graphic 45 DP that I just had to make it up!!!  Of course I colored her with my Copics and used my Spica pen on her wings.

I don’t have much to say because I scheduled this post to go tomorrow night and I’ve already told you most of my news.

Oh, I do have something I’m working on that I’m very excited about!  I have a half whiskey barrel in my front yard that had some lupine planted in it but it got bugs last year while I was out of town.  I put bug killer on it as soon as I got home but it was too late.  The poor thing never recovered and didn’t come back this year.

Well, I decided to put a fairy garden in the barrel!  I painted the house tonight and I’m going to finish it up with some rubbons and clear spray.  Then I’m going to put in a walkway, a fence, some pebbles and plants/flowers.  I sure hope it turns out like it is in my mind!!!  It’s been hot out the last couple of days so I haven’t started planting yet.  I’ll be taking lots of pictures of the process and I can’t wait to show it off!!!

Talk to you soon!!!

Blessings,

Christine

Paper Maniac Enabler Alert

The Paper Maniac store is still closed for inventory.  The good news is that Patti has found some things that weren’t in the store and she’ll be ordering a few new things as well.

So when the store is back up and running, just hold on to your seat.  All new product will be 25% off and there will be deep cuts on the rest of the stock!  It will be worth the wait!!!

2 Days in a Row!

Yes, I said I was going to start blogging more and here I am again—2 days in a row!!!  I have so many things to catch up on.  The most important of which, my great-nephew, Landon, was born on June 7!!!

264793_1799983481028_1283022309_31595923_1668075_n[1]We were all very worried when Alicia went into labor 5 weeks early but he’s a healthy beautiful baby!!!  Can’t remember the exact numbers but he was 6 lbs. something and 18 inches.

255185_1775760715474_1283022309_31564497_6791811_n[1](baby Landon at one day old)

I feel like such a bad aunt for waiting so long to post pictures but then I just remember I’m a GREAT-aunt.  (That’s what another niece told me when she had my first great-nephew.)  Since I have no children of my own, my great nieces and nephews are very precious to me!

251695_1775762075508_1283022309_31564502_2929538_n[1](mom and baby at one day old)

He’s such a sweetie and he hardly cries.  If people are in the room and he wants something, he just squeaks.  It’s so cute.  But when he’s in his nursery alone, he gives a good wale to make sure someone comes to his aid!!!

My sister, Rose is coming tomorrow from Utah so we’ll be spending some fun and quality time with baby Landon, oh and his mom and dad too!!!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card!  Can you believe it—3 days in a row!!!

Blessings,

Christine

I have a card from a new digi from McMahon Five Vintage, The Painter.  I chose to only color the lady leaving the background in tones of gray.  I love how it turned out!

Wow, things have been busy around M5D.  If you use SVG cut files, be sure to scroll down to the end of the images because M5D has two lines of cut files now!

My Summer of Color

At the first of the year I posted my plan for the beginning of the year.  (Here’s a link if you'd like to see it.

Art Journal.  I haven’t accomplished everything on that list yet, specifically the art journaling part.  I have done work in my art journal and I did start out either writing or making art in my journal.  I plan to continue with the art journal but I’m not going to commit to doing it everyday.

Soul Restoration II.  I mostly completed Soul Restoration.  I have a few things to finish up.  I also started Soul Restoration II.  This is going to be a VERY powerful class.  It has already made a difference in my life.

After watching the first set of videos, even before I completed the lesson, I had already set the goal and completed something that I have been wanting to do for a long time and was just afraid to make the commitment.

I have volunteered for the Idaho organ donation agency—Yes Idaho.  We’ve exchanged a few emails. I will be calling next week and I will have the first meeting later this month.  I’m very excited to start this journey in my life.  Thanks Melody for helping me take that leap!!!

363715

Your Vintage Glue Book.  This was also on my list to accomplish this year.  They were having a sale a couple of weeks ago so I registered for it but haven’t started yet.  One of the best things about this class is all the wonderful downloads she is giving us.

The other classes and projects that were on my list at the first of the year still are.  As I complete some of these classes, I will register for others.

Composition for Collage by Claudine HelmuthThis informative class is from Big Picture Classes.  We’re only on our first lesson and I’ve already learned a lot.  I haven’t actually made the project for the first class.  I’m hoping to share it with you tomorrow.

The Summer of ColorThe Summer of Color.  There is one event that I am really looking forward too this summer.  Kristin of Twinkle, Twinkle is hosting this.  She will give us a color challenge each week and we are to make a project of any kind using that color.

I will probably be making something new and different each week.  Maybe a card one week, a mixed media peace another week, you get the idea!  You should think about coming to join us while playing with color.  You can make anything you want as long is it sticks to the color for the week.  This will be a lot of fun!!!

Plus, I do intend to do some camping this year!!!  After Claudine’s collage composition class and Soul Restoration II are over, I’m heading up into the mountains for a week or two!!!  It’s been several years since I went camping and it’s one of my favorite things to do.

So that’s my summer plans, what are yours?

Blessings,

Christine

Wanna Pony Ride?

6-9 pony rideI love these little drawings from McMahon Vintage.  They give me the perfect excuse to pull out my watercolors!!!  The colors didn’t turn out too well in the photo.  I colored the ground brown and the little boy’s suit green but that’s not what came out.  Go figure!

Here are the rest of the images being released this week.  Don’t forget to check out what my DT sisters have created.  Their links are at the bottom of this post.

***Everything isn’t linked up yet.  I’ll be back tomorrow to add the links.  Thanks for returning so you can see the DT posts!***
