I'm taking a class, Spark Your Spring, by Marjorie Romney-Aslett. It's such a wonderful class and she teaches so many beautiful spring projects for your home. I've been working on a few but finished this one!
Isn't this about the cutest thing you've ever seen! Marjorie is so clever and her projects are so cute! I used fabrics on the wreath that I got from the thrift store. I bought a couple of bags of fabric scraps. I think I'm going to get some more. They are so fun to work with!
On Saturday, my brother cut down my sister's twisted willow tree. I took the opportunity to get some for my spring decorating! I think my brother thought I was insane when I pulled several branches to the side for crafting! He just doesn't understand me!!! They sell those at the craft store for $10 for a small bunch. I probably pulled out a hundred bucks worth and mine were all hand picked!
Anyway, I made the nest using some of the twisted willow, wire, and my trusty low temp glue gun. Thank goodness it was low temp!!! I'll be making a lot more of these little nests with the branches I saved! I added some moss to the bottom to kind of ground it to the wreath and added some shredded book paper that I sprayed with some different spritz sprays. I got the little birdie at Michaels and added the little ribbon rose. I think it's the perfect addition to her hat!
I'll have to wait until the rest are complete in order to share more. I am decorating my white feather tree for spring. I might share some sneaks of each project before I finish with everything! I think I'll only be doing two more for now.
I hope you are all having a wonderful week!!!
Blessings,
Christine

See I told you!
I'm posting again today!!! McMahon Five Designs has two new illustrators but they aren't new to the McMahon Five Designs family. The first one is our very own Kristine. She is now designing a new digital stamp line called "Imagine That" and a line of digital papers called "Bella's Beauties."
Our other illustrator is Michelle P's brother, Ryan. Michelle talked him into sharing his doodles with us. It's gonna' be so fun to get the male prospective. He came up with some adorable images for his first week. His line is called "Draw Me a Daydream."
I made a card with the most adorable image that Sue made just for me but she decided to wait on that one so we could really give our new illustrators the spotlight!
Kristine, Michelle P, and Sue have made cards with these images so please go check them out and leave some love!!!

God Didn't Promise
It's that time of month for the McMahon Five Designs Breast Cancer Awareness freebie! This month Sue provided us with a beautiful verse.
Now remember, as long as you promise that you have done your self exam, you can have this image for FREE! Yes, that's right Free!!!
Since April is Organ Donor Awareness Month, each April Sue highlights my journey with heart transplant. If you have not read about it before, you can right HERE.
It reads:
"God didn't promise days without
Pain
laughter without
Passion
sorrow nor sun without
Rain
but He did promise
Strength
for the day
Comfort
for the tears
and
Light
for the way"

Big Eyed Dolls
I have been and still am taking a few classes from Tamara LaPorte's of Willowing, as well as some other artsy classes. I don't share much of the artsy side of my creations here for some reason but I've promised myself that I will start so here goes!
This is a girl a drew while taking one of Tam's art lessons, Fabulous Faces. When my sister saw her, she said she looked like one of those big eyed dolls!!!
I look at it now and realize that there are some things I want to change in the shading but I'm quite proud of her. This is the only time I have ever sketched an entire girl in graphite. I like them better with a little color but this was the exercise. Not to bad for one of the first faces I have ever done!
Stay tuned for Friday. I will have a new McMahon Five Designs card just for you! Sue drew this image for ME. I haven't talked about this side of me on my blog before so it will be a bit of a surprise!!! However, to my Facebook and Pinterest friends, it won't come as a surprise at all. It's one of my favorite subjects!!!
'Til then...
Blessings,
Christine

Jeanne Oliver
Hey, there's a lady, Jeanne Oliver, that I found through Brave Girls Club. She's a beautiful artist and a soulful person. I've only taken one class from her, Christy Tomlinson's 12 Ornaments of Christmas in 2011, but I could really tell how creative and awesome she is.
Jeanne has a new class, The Journey of Letting Go, that sounds incredible and I can't wait until it starts in 3 weeks. I already tried to register for it once but decided to wait for next payday.
Anyway, this class covers EVERYTHING you would want. Just look at the posters I've posted. She had me at mixed media and creating beautiful faces but then sculpture, charcoal drawing, coptic binding. And that's not even all!
So, she is giving away 10 spots in this class plus, one lucky winner will also receive $300 worth of art supplies! So, head on over to her blog to get registered. But, if you win the art supplies, you have to share them with me! Ha!!!
One other thing, Jeanne has a wonderful classroom site, Jeanne Oliver Creative Community, where the courses are held. This is a fairly new venture. She has a few other classes available there including, for those who want to have a creative business, Building a Creatively Made Business. There are some free classes as well!
I also have to mention that she had a giveaway on her Facebook page last summer and I was the lucky winner of a beautiful purse. It's made out of a wonderful floral print with burlap handles. I call it my Paris purse. I'm not sure why but it just reminded me of Paris! She is also a very talented clothing designer and designs a new line a couple of times a year. You can see all of her items for sale here in her shop.
I hope you're having a great week. I've had a migraine all day but, heck, what's new. I'm kind of getting used to them! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Christine

Rowing with the Swans
Hi everyone!!! I'm so happy you stopped buy! The weather has been beautiful here the last few days. The highs have been in the 50s so I've taken the opportunity to get out in the garden to wake it up. The doc told me to only spend 1/2 hour a day out there but I'm making that time productive! I'll be spending time out there this weekend. The temps are just supposed to go higher and higher into next week. Spring is finally here!!!
It's another release day at McMahon Five Designs. Sue has got some beautiful and fun images for you this week! I'll start with the image I chose to make a card out of this week, Swan Among Lilies.
Sorry that the image is a little blurred but I couldn't find my camera and had to use the cheapo that I bought on vacation. Ya, I left my camera home!!! I'm not sure why this beautiful lady is rowing all by herself in this delightful lake. I hope her guy didn't stand her up. She's got flowers in the front and a picnic basket in the back. Maybe she's rowing home after a picnic on the other side of the lake!
I used KaiserCraft paper and American Crafts ribbon plus some sticky back pearls colored with my Copics.
Do you want to see what else you can get this week!

Our lil' cutie has gone digital! The red rubber version of him has been sold out and discontinued! Now you can order him in JPG B&W as well as colored.
*Inspired by this delicious photo from Pinterest :)
