Carving Pumpkins

I’ve been gone for awhile. I went to Utah for my annual transplant tests and doctor appointments. Everything went great. The tests all came back good and my heart caths (I had two) went off without a hitch. I didn’t even hurt the day after. I’m not sure why but sometimes I hurt for a few days after and sometimes it’s like nothing.

Thankfully, I had a quick recovery because two days later I was headed to Lindon, Utah, a couple of hours drive from my sis’ house for Spark The Event. Oh my gosh, it was such a wonderful experience and I learned so many new things. It definitely “sparked” my creativity!!! I’ll be posting about that later.

Now onto this weeks release.

Give Thanks

I’m about to scream!  I’m having so many Internet issues tonight that I’m not sure this will even post and I can’t give you links but here goes!

I’ve used to new images from McMahon Vintage releasing today!  The frame with the oak leaves acorns is one image and the scripture is another.  I thought that they worked so well together that I combined them.

I also have a photo of the cutie-patootie Landon to share with you. 

My niece (Landon’s mom) was teaching my gr-niece to play the fiddle the other day and Landon was enjoying listening to his mother play.  It was so precious!!!

Hi everyone!

When I saw this wonderful new image from McMahon Vintage, it reminded me of the Tim Holtz Halloween paper so I pulled it out before coloring this cute image and used his papers for inspiration.  Once again, like last week, this image brings back family memories!  Everyone in my family is big teasers and I can see one of my brothers sneaking up behind me trying to get a scare out of me!!!

Oops, I’m Late

 

So sorry I’m late. I woke up with a migraine again this morning so took some drugs and went back to sleep. Now my mind is kind of off in all directions and I’m having trouble staying on task! *giggle*

I fell in love with todays image the minute I saw it.  It reminds me of the MANY summers spent at my grandpa’s farm.  Unfortunately, I never carved pumpkins with him.  He lived in another town and I was never there at Halloween but I remember so many times like this in the summer.  It was always fun to spend time with my grandpa.  I love him so much and still, after all these years, miss him so much!

A Baby, Some Monkeys and a Butterfly

Just stopping in to share a couple of photos with you.  I’ve said before that my sister stops by each week to clean my litter box for me since I have a suppressed immune system.  Las week when she stopped by I gave her my monkey Beanie Babies.  She likes monkeys and needed some toys for Landon!

And here’s my favorite little guy with the monkeys in my brand new chair.  He was having a private moment while I was snapping the shots.  Some of the photos turned out pretty funny with his scrunched up red face!

I’ve been looking for a new chair for in my studio for a long time now.  I really need something comfortable in here because I sit on it when I need a sore back break while crafting.  I got a great deal on it.  It even has massage and heat!!!

 

When I took Chloe pup out Sunday morning, I noticed this butterfly in my butterfly bush.  This has happened many times but by the time I run in the house to get my camera, the butterfly is gone.  She stuck around this time.  I just had to share!

I have two cards to share with you from this weeks release.

 

First of all, we have the free Breast Cancer Awareness image.  I really liked this one and had to create with it.  There is actually a heart on the digi stamp that is underneath the butterfly that I added.  The paper has butterflies on it so I put the butterfly on there and then I covered all the butterflies with the design of the card.  Oh well!!!

 

All you have to do to receive this Awareness image is promise that you do your self exam each month.  It’s important.

 

 

Second, I just thought this Vertie was so cute that I had to make something with her.  I don’t often do cute.  This card is so much better in real life.  Vertie is green—all the colors seem brighter for some reason.  Tried to fix it in PSE but it just made it worse.
